09/23/2026 Keira Muselbeck Readings

    Of the readings this week I wish to specifically discuss one in particular, Convience Store Women. Which featured a character who felt very autistic/neurodivergent to me. This character, Miss Furukuna describes how in her life she has always been acting abnormnal or against societal expectations. The minute details of how she processes things as a worker in the convience store was simply fascinating to me as an individual and I deeply enjoyed hearing such descriptions. I also enjoyed the parts of the story were it describes her tendancy to vocally mimic other people's tones in an attempt to appear normal to other's it was simply fasxcinating too me.
